Cards and Chips for Poker on a Green Table
Blind bets are called blinds. The one sitting to the left of the dealer places the small blind and the next big blind. Blinds are signs of the size of the stakes, or chips. After the blinds, players are dealt two cards (pocket cards) face down. In Texas Hold’em, one round of play consists of a minimum of one round and a maximum of four raise rounds. Once the cards have been dealt, you move on to placing bets. The player to the left of the player is who gave the big blind starts. He can call the big blind, fold that hand, or tips main poker bet.
Texas Hold’em Betting Rounds
Once the first player has acted, it is the turn of the others to make their move. Each player, in turn, can fold their own cards and wait for the next round, follow the next deal and call the set blind, or raise to get other players to either call or raise. Once a player has made their choice, the turn always shifts to the next player to the left. Each player can fold, look, or raise.
A raise means that a player adds one bet to the last bet placed. For example, if the big blind initially set has been 25 cents, the player can raise by adding 25 cents, for a total bet of 50 cents. The betting round ends when two conditions are met: all players have been allowed to make their moves and those players who have not folded have placed bets of the same size in the game. The table is then dealt a flop, i.e. three community cards in the middle of the table, face up.

After the three community cards are dealt, the next round of betting begins, which works in essentially the same way as the first round. Once all players have made their selection during the round and participated in the pot for the same amount, a turn card is dealt to the table, which is the fourth community card. The next round of betting works in the same way again, but with a higher limit, i.e. raises. At the end of the round, the last or fifth community card (river card) is dealt to the table, followed by another round of betting.
